Year of Version 1973 Dates Adopted: February 9, 1973 Entry into force: December 20, 1972 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Other Notes This Act provides for the establishment of a broadcasting corporation to ensure effective operation and growth of broadcasting as a function oriented public service medium, general improvement in the quality of programs, speedy implementation of projects and better utilization of talent. It relates to the Copyright Ordinance, 1962 (Ordinance No. XXXIV of 1962). It is indicated in its Section 1, that 'It extends to the whole of Pakistan. It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on the twentieth day of December, 1972'.
