Year of Version 2011 Dates Amended up to: May 3, 2011 Entry into force: July 1, 1991 Adopted: June 18, 1991 Promulgated: June 18, 1991 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Trade Names, Other, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Trademarks, Industrial Property Notes This consolidated version of the Law on Commerce (SG No. 48/1991) takes into account amendments up to the "Law on Amendments to Law on Commerce (SG No. 34/2011)", which was promulgated in the State Gazette No. 34 (SG No. 34) on April 29, 2011, and entered into force on January 1, 2012; except for § 11, § 12, item 1, letter "b", § 13 and § 14, which entered into force on May 3, 2011, 3 days after the day of its promulgation in the State Gazette. The amendments introduced by the said amending Law SG No. 34/2011 to this consolidated Law entered into force on May 3, 2011. The consolidated Law contains following provisions relating to trade names, trade secrets, undisclosed information of secret information on unpatented invention, utility model or know-how, and licensing of trademarks: - Part One, Chapter Three, Articles 7 to 13; Chapter Five, Article 17a; Chapter Six, Section I, Article 21, Article 26, Section IV, Article 52; - Part Two, Division One, Chapter Eight, Articles 58-60; Division Three, Chapter Ten, Article 70; Chapter Eleven, Section I, Articles 76-78; Chapter Twelve, Section I, Articles 99, 101, 102; Chapter Thirteen, Section I, Articles 115-116; Chapter Fourteen, Section I, Article 158, Section II, Articles 165, 174, Section III, Articles 183, 184, Section IX, Subsection One, Article 223; Chapter Fifteen, Article 253; Chapter Sixteen, Section II, Article 262 g; - Part Three, Chapter Thirty-Five, Articles 593-594; Chapter Forty-Two, Section IV, Article 675.
