This consolidated version of the Defence Production Act takes into accounts amendments up to Federal Law–Civil Law Harmonization Act, No. 2 (S.C. 2004, c. 25), which amends sections 2, 15, 16(g), 19(1)(a), 19(2), 20(b), 21, 25(2), and 46 of the Defence Production Act that came into force on April 1, 2005.
This consolidated version was valid until January 30, 2011.
Article 22 gives the Minister authority to relieve any person from any claims, actions or proceedings for the payment of royalties for the infringement of any patent, registered industrial design or registered topography in the performance of a defence contract.'
