The Ministry of Science and Technology in Vietnam is a governmental department, which performs the functions of state management of science and technology including: scientific and technological activities, scientific and technological development, intellectual property, standardization, measurement and quality control, atomic energy, radiation and nuclear safety, and state management of public services in the domains under its management in accordance with the law. (Article 1 'Position and functions')
