The notification by Canada to WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Competition Act 'provides for the issurance of compulsory licensing orders, the expungmenet of IP rights from national registers where applicalbe, and the strikiing down of licensing agreements or part therof by the Federal Court a one of the remedies to anti-competitive abuses of intellecutal property rights. Also establishes a regime whereby firms may, under certain conditions, enter into specialization agreements.'
