This consolidated version of the Competition Act, which was last amended on March 12, 2010 incorporates all the amendments up to 2010.
The notification by Canada to WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Competition Act 'provides for the issuance of compulsory licensing orders, the expungement of IP rights from national registers where applicable, and the striking down of licensing agreements or part therof by the Federal Court a one of the remedies to anti-competitive abuses of intellectual property rights. Also establishes a regime whereby firms may, under certain conditions, enter into specialization agreements.'
