The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Amending the Seed Law of the People's Republic of China was adopted on August 28, 2004, and came into force on the same date.
The Decision contains the amendments to Articles 17 and 33 of the Seed Law of the People's Republic of China, relating to the examination and approval of the Verification Committee of Forest Tree Varieties for the production and trade of forest tree varieties and to the approval of the administrative departments of forestry for the purchase of seeds of rare trees and forest tree seeds.
