This consolidated version of the Federal Courts Act incorporates all the amendments up to September 21, 2009.
The notification by Canada to WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'Federal Courts Act 'gives the Trial Division exclusive original jurisdiction in cases of conflicting applications for any patent, or for the registration of any copyright, trademark, industrial design or topography; and cases in which it is sought to impeach or annul a patent or expunge, vary or rectify an entry in a register of copyrights, trademarks, industrial designs or topographies.'
