For provisions concerning the protection of intellectual property rights, see Section 54 (remedies against trademark infringement).
Section 54 of the Specific Relief Act provides that 'when the defendant invades or threatens to invade the plaintiff’s right to, or enjoyment of, property, the Court may grant a perpetual injunction …'. Furthermore, Section 54 of the Specific Relief Act specifically provides that 'for the purpose of this section, a trade mark is property.'
