The notification by Australia to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states: 'The regulations make minor, consequential and technical amendments to the Trade Marks Regulations 1995 following the amendments made by the Trade Marks and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2001, including consequential amendments to Part 17A of the Regulations -- which contains the substantive provisions relating to the Madrid Protocol and international trade marks.'
