Year of Version 2019 Dates Published: November 29, 2018 Issued: November 28, 2018 Type of Text IP-related Laws   Subject Matter Trademarks, Trade Names, Domain Names Subject Matter (secondary) Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes The Law on Electronic Communications and Transactions was promulgated on November 28, 2018 by the King (Amir) of the Kingdom of Bahrain by means of Decree-Law No. 54 of 2018 (also called 'Amicir Decree No. 54 of 2018' or 'Legislative Decree No. 54 of 2018').

This Law entered into force on February 1, 2019, on the first day of the month that followed sixty (60) days after the date of its publication in the Official Gazette on November 29, 2018, in accordance with Article 4 of Decree-Law No. 54 of 2018.

The English version is intended for reference purposes only. In case of discrepancy, the Arabic version shall prevail.
