Notes
This consolidated version of the Criminal Code incorporates amendments up to 'Law No. 262-VI of July 3, 2019, on Amendments to Certain Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Development of Financial Market, Microfinance Activity and Taxation', which entered into force on different dates.
Paragraph 4 under Article 1 of the said amending Law No. 262-VI of July 3, 2019, which entered into force on January 1, 2020 introduced amendments to the following provisions of this consolidated version:
- Article 3, item 28); Article 50, item 4 were amended where the words 'employees of the authorized body for regulation, control and supervision of financial market and financial organizations;' were added;
- Title of Article 214 was amended where the word 'microfinance was added after the word 'banking' and in the first pargraph of Article 214 the word 'microfinance' was added after the word 'banking operations'.
These amendments do not relate to intellectual property matters.
The consolidated Code provides criminal liability for infringement of intellectual property rights (see General Part, Section 1, Article 3, item 2); Special Part, Chapter 6, Articles 198, 199; Chapter 8, Articles 222, 223).
