Year of Version 2018 Dates Entry into force: March 18, 2002 Adopted: March 6, 2002 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Other Notes This consolidated version of the Statute for the Juridical-Administrative Regime of the Executive Branch (approved by Executive Decree No. 2428) incorporates all the amendments up to Executive Decree No. 559 and Executive Decree No. 560, which were published in the Supplement of the Official Gazette No. 37 and entered into force on December 13, 2018.

For the amendments introduced by the said Executive Decree No. 560 and Decree No. 559, see Article 16 under Title I, Book I of this consolidated version.

Article 17-4 under Title I, Book I provides that the Ministry for the Coordination of Production, Employment and Competitiveness coordinates policies and actions with the Ministries and Government entities of Ecuador, among others, the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property in the area of international trade and productivity.
