Year of Version 2018 Dates Amended up to: April 18, 2018 Entry into force: June 7, 2017 Adopted: May 23, 2017 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Plant Variety Protection, Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Genetic Resources, Transfer of Technology, Traditional Knowledge (TK), IP Regulatory Body, Other, Industrial Property Notes The Regulation on Organic Code on the Social Economy of Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation (hereinafter, the 'Regulation') was issued by Executive Decree No. 1435 of May 23, 2017, was published in the Supplement of the Official Gazette No. 9 on June 7, 2017, and entered into force on the day of its publication.
This consolidated version of the 'Regulation' incorporates amendments introduced by the following:
- Executive Decree No. 97, published in the Supplement of the Official Gazette No. 53 on August 8, 2017 (its Article 4 replaces Article 17 under Chapter VI, Title I of this consolidated version);
- Executive Decree No. 356 of April 3, 2018, published in the Supplement of the Official Gazette No. 224 on April 18, 2018, and entered into force on the day of its publication (its 'Amending Provision' replaces Article 2 under Chapter II, Title I of this consolidated verison, relating to the National Service of Intellectual Rights-SENADI).
