Year of Version 2016 Dates Entry into force: December 1, 1996 Adopted: July 26, 1996 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes This consolidated version of the Administrative Judicial Procedure Act incorporates all the amendments up to Act No. 891/2015 of August 7, 2015, which entered into force on January 1, 2016.

The said Act No. 891/2015 of August 7, 2015 amends the following provisions of this consolidated version, which entered into force on January 1, 2016:
- Part I, Chapter 2, sections 7, 13;
- Part II, Chapter 6, section 31;
- Part III, Chapter 11, section 64a;
- Part IV, Chapter 14, section 79.

The notification by Finland to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'Administrative Judicial Procedure Act, adopted on 26 July 1996/586, repealed the Act on the Administrative Appellation Proceedings 1950/154 (Laki muutoksenhausta hallintoasioissa) and the Act on Extraordinary Appeal in Administrative Matters 1966/200 (Laki ylimääräisestä muutoksenhausta hallintoasioissa), as amended up to August 2010 (582/2010)

The Act contains provisions concerning the administrative judicial procedure. The Act applies to judicial procedure in general administrative courts. It also applies where an administrative decision is challenged by way of appeal or extraordinary appeal in an administrative authority, an appellate board or another comparable special authority. The new act repeals the Act on the Administrative Appellation Proceedings 1950/154 and the Act on Extraordinary Appeal in Administrative Matters 1966/200.

Amendments to sections 7, 13, 31 and 79 concerning appealing of administrative officials' and administrative courts' decisions. New section 64a concerning limitation of dissolution of decision was added.

Act amending the Administrative Judicial Procedure Act, adopted on 26 June 2015, 2015/799, entry into force on 1 January 2016

New sections 33a and 39a-39g concerning witnessing were added. Sections 21, 39-43, 46, 47 and 49 concerning authorisation of an attorney and taking of evidence were amended.
Act amending the Administrative Judicial Procedure Act, adopted on 31 January 2013, 2013/82, entry into force on 1 June 2013

A new section 30a was inserted concerning the duty to give an estimation of the duration of hearing on party's request. This change relates to the Act on Compensation for the Excessive Length of Judicial Proceedings (362/2009).'
