Year of Version 2017 Dates Entry into force: July 1, 1962 Adopted: September 8, 1961 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes The German Judiciary Act of September 8, 1961 entered into force on July 1, 1962, except for Sections 114 and 116, which entered into force on September 15, 1961, on the day following its publication in the Federal Law Gazette, in accordance with its Section 126.

This consolidated version of the German Judiciary Act incorporates all the amendments up to “Act of June 8, 2017, on Sector-Specific Rules Regarding Face Coverings and on Amendments to Other Employment Rules”, which entered into force on June 15, 2017, on the day following its publication, except for the provisions of paragraphs 2-7 of Article 16, which enter into force on different dates, in accordance with Article 16.

Article 9 of the said Act introduces the following amendments to this consolidated version, which entered into force on June 15, 2017:
-In the first sentence of Section 45, paragraph (1a) , the words ‘exercising’ are replaced by ‘or exercising’;
-Section 48, paragraph 6, the words “Para. 3” are replaced by “Paragraph 2”.
