The earlier version (dated June 20, 1966) of the Order on Lautrec pink garlic was notified to WTO under Notification IP/N/1/FRA/1 dated July 12, 1996.

The notification by France to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The number published by Order in the Official Journal of the Republic creates an entitlement to protection; it identifies a specification for the production methods and the geographical area of production. This specification remains the property of a group of producers and may be consulted in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.'
