eMadrid – Making International Trademark Registration Management Easier for Representatives

We are excited to announce a new enhancement to eMadrid. By popular demand, new representatives can now submit "Appoint/replace representative" requests directly from the "Find and monitor" tab, making it easier to take over management of international trademark registrations.

Key benefits

  • No need to request access rights to the international trademark registration(s) first
  • Manage multiple international trademark registrations in a single request
  • Holders are automatically prompted to authorize requests digitally

Important: There must be a holder email address on record for the registration(s). Requests can be submitted for multiple registrations so long as the on-record holder email address is the same for all of them.

How it works

  1. Login to eMadrid with your WIPO Account. (Don’t have an Account? Create one now)
  2. Go to “Find and monitor
  3. Search for the relevant international trademark registration(s) by name, number, holder…
  4. Select the registrations you need to manage
  5. Click “Manage selected
  6. Choose “Appoint/replace representative
  7. Follow the prompts to complete your request.

What happens next?

We will send an authorization request to the on-record holder email address. The holder must authorize the request within 14 days. Once authorized, the relevant registration(s) will appear in the representative’s eMadrid workbench under “Manage your trademarks”.

We hope you enjoy this new feature.
