WIPO Seminar on SEPs and Dispute Resolution: Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together?

A level playing field for SEP dispute settlement

In the year of IP and sports, WIPO is bringing the global SEP community together for a seminar on standard essential patents and dispute resolution.

From standards development and FRAND licensing to litigation and alternative dispute resolution, SEP disputes often involve both rivalry and cooperation. Parties compete to advance their own position, but fair and lasting outcomes depend on a level playing field, clear and respected rules of the game, and constructive dispute-resolution mechanisms with competent referees.

Continuing the dialogue under the WIPO Strategy on Standard Essential Patents 2024-26, this Seminar brings together judges, policymakers, industry representatives, practitioners, academics and other experts for a focused exchange on how SEP disputes are evolving worldwide, and how practical dispute-resolution tools can support a more balanced global SEP ecosystem.

Registration is free of charge and open to any interested party. If you can’t attend in person, join us online.
