Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, April 16, 2025 – Following successful workshops in Manila, Philippines, Bangkok, Thailand, and Vientiane, Lao PDR, WIPO Singapore Office, will be conducting its next workshop of the series of workshops for the ASEAN IP Register Services: Gearing Towards a Data-Driven IP Strategy in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The workshop will be conducted in a hybrid model by WIPO Singapore Office (online) with physical participation from businesses and enablers facilitated by the Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO).
Background
The world around us is changing rapidly. In this digital age, we are all connected, anytime and anywhere. At the heart of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and fueling the change are data which have unsurprisingly been often referred to as the new oil. And, like oil, data mining and refinement can present significant opportunities for trade and investment.
Underpinned by IP data, businesses will be better able to understand the innovation landscape and forecast more accurately future market trends and competitive threats in products and services. By leveraging such data, businesses can make better and more cost-effective strategic responses, have improved understanding of markets and competition, and adopt relevant and robust IP strategies that are also better aligned with their own business visions and overall development strategies.
