1 . These R:gulatio11s may Ье citcd as t hc Copy right (Product ion, Сна11оn lmportation and Distribution of Sound and Audio-Visual Recordings) Licensing Regulat ions, 2007.
1. ln t:hese Rgulations, unless the context othcГ\vise requires- lntcrpn:tatlon
"hologi-am '' means an adl1esi,,e labe l issued Ьу thc Society.
3. о pefson shall produce, distribute or impon for dist ribution sou nd recordings, audio-visual recordings or audio works in Malawi except under а licence issu ed Ьу the Society a nd as set ou t in Pans V, Vl, Vll , V/11 and IX of the First Schedule.
4. А hologram sha/1 Ье affixed to еас\1 and every sound recording, audio-visual recording or a udio works \vhich is distributed or offered or or heГ\'Iisc exposed to the publ ic for distribution Ьу way of sale, hire, rental or otheгwise within Mala\vi. ·
5. The hologтam shall Ье delivcred exclusivcly Ьу the Society after verification that the sound recording, audio-visua! recording or a udio works has Ьсеn pr<.)llщ;t:tl aнd/or· puЬ\ishcd iл Mnlnwi or imponed into Malawi
\Vithout infringing any copyright granted under thc Act.
6. Any sound recording, audio-visual recording ог audio \Vorks
\vithout а hol ogram алd which is imported, distributed, offcred ог ex posed to the puЬ/ic for sa le, rental or otheГ\vise within Mala,vi shall Ьconsidered as а сору infringing copyright granied under the Act and sha/1 Ье seized Ьу the Societ,y, а police officer or an officer of the Department of Customs and Excise.
7..--{1) The Society slta!l retain the seized infringing ropies for а period of up to sixty (60) days fi-om the date of the seizure.
(2) The owner of the seized infringing copies may su bmit an oЬjectien against the seizure tthe ·society within thc sixty (60) days giviлg reasons for the objection. t •
