Section62 oftheGeographicalIndications(WineandSpirits) Registration Act 2006 comes into force on 14 April 2008.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force, on 14 April 2008, section 62 of the Geographical Indications (Wine and Spirits) Registration Act 2006 (the 2006Act ). Section62repealstheGeographicalIndicationsAct 1994 (whichitselfhasneverbeenbroughtintoforce). Thisorderap plies to section 62 of the 2006 Act only; the remainder of the 2006 Act has yet to be brought into force.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989. Date of notification in Gazette: 13 March 2008. This order is administered by the Ministry of Economic Development.
