I, Desmond O'Malley, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 96 of the Patents Act, 1964 (No. 12 of 1964), and the Industry and Commerce (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977(S.I. No. 306 of 1977), hereby make the following Rules:

These rules provide for amendment of the Patents Rules, 1965 by allowing the filing of uncertified copies of printed accepted complete British specifications as evidence of novelty.
