Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Patents (Inventions)
Notes:
New law published in the Official Journal of the Federation on June 5, 2002 - Last reform published DOF 28/01/2011
This law regulates the grants the Federal Government provides to promote, strengthen, develop and consolidate scientific research, technological development and innovation in general in the country.
It provides for the functioning of fiscal incentives for science and technology, the instruments for the decentralisation of science and technology activities and its financing instruments. The law also addresses regional aspects of science and technology policy through co-operation mechanisms between the federal and state levels in the definition, financing and implementation of science and technology capacity building and research and development projects.
This law has to do with Intellectual Property because much of this work will be eventually reflected in patents.
