Notes:	This decree declares of public interest the access to chemicals used in agricultural production, for which may be granted compulsory licenses on patents for agricultural inputs needed to produce food that can be destined to domestic consumption. The Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property through the National Industrial Property Directorate is the competent national office to grant compulsory licenses to those requesting it, provided they meet the requirements of the applicable law and this decree. Authorisation of compulsory licenses shall be considered on its individual merits and must be substantiated in each case. The IEPI will grant compulsory licenses in coordination with the Ecuadorian Agency for Quality Assurance Agro.
