Date of Entry into Force: 'Art. 89.2, 90.2, 90.3, 91.2, 91.3, 96.1, 96.3, 101.1 and 105.3: October 1, 1959'.
The notification by Switzerland to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'In respect of Patents, Switzerland and Liechtenstein constitute a single territory'.
'Existence of patent rights, national and European patents, international patent applications, acquisition and scope of rights, patents register, civil and criminal proceedings, opposition procedure for preliminary examinations, administrative appeal procedure, etc.'
