Notes The notification by Switzerland to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states: 'In respect of Patents, Switzerland and Liechtenstein constitute a single territory. This law is mainly to to amend the provisions of the Title 7 of the Federal Law on Patents entitled 'The Supplementary Protection Certificates for Medicines'. The amendments to this title, among other things, includes more severe penalties under criminal law, annulment of prior examinations (see Chapter II of the Patent Cooperation Treaty), and further proceedings.'
