Year of Version 2007 Dates Entry into force: January 1, 2004 Adopted: January 16, 2003 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Trademarks, Competition, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Transfer of Technology, Other, Industrial Property Notes This consolidated text of the Economic Code of Ukraine incorporates all the amendments up to Law No. 549-V of January 9, 2007, on Amendments to the Commercial Code of Ukraine regarding the Order of Alienation of State Property ('the Amending Law').
For the amendments introduced by the said Amending Law, see paragraph 6 of Article 141, Chapter 14, Section III of the consolidated text.

Among others, the following provisions of this consolidated text of the Economic Code provides protection to intellectual property rights, including trade secrets, trademarks, trade names, etc.; and protection against acts of unfair competition related to intellectual property:
- Section I, Chapter 1, Section 5(2); Chapter 3, Articles 25, 32, 33 & 36;
- Section IV, Chapter 19, Article 174;
- Section V, Chapter 28, Article 254;
- Section VI, Chapter 30, Article 266; Chapter 34, Articles 325-332; Chapter 36, Articles 371 & 375.
