Year of Version 2014 Dates Status as of: January 27, 2014 Amended up to: April 6, 2008 Enacted: November 7, 2002 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Other, Industrial Designs, Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes This consolidated version of the Enterprise Act 2002 incorporates amendments up to the Companies Act 2006 (Chapter 46), which entered into force on different dates. The said amending Companies Act 2006 introduces amendments to the following provisions of this consolidated version: - Section 241A inserted on April 6, 2007 under section entitled "Permitted disclosure", Part 9; - Schedule 15: entry (the Companies Acts (as defined in section 2 of the Companies Act 2006) inserted on October 1, 2007; - Schedule 15: entry (Companies Act 1985) repealed on October 1, 2007; - Schedule 17 paras. 4 to 6 repealed on April 6, 2008. This consolidated Act is structured into 11 Parts and 26 Schedules. Section 86 (2) entitled 'Enforcement orders: general provisions' stipulates: 'Nothing in an enforcement order shall have effect so as to— (a) cancel or modify conditions in licences granted— (i) under a patent granted under the Patents Act 1977 (c. 37) or a European patent (UK) (within the meaning of the Act of 1977); or (ii) in respect of a design registered under the Registered Designs Act 1949 (c. 88); by the proprietor of the patent or design; or (b) require an entry to be made in the register of patents or the register of designs to the effect that licences under such a patent or such a design are to be available as of right.' This consolidated version of the Enterprise Act 2002 was updated and generated on January 27, 2014 (see "Changes to legislation" from pages 514 to 533 for detailed information).
