The Law in Articles 38 to 98 incorporates provisions concerning technical specifications for products covered by a designation of origin.
Article 3 of the Federal Civil Code stipulates that Laws, Regulations, Circulars, and other legal dispositions shall be binding three days after their official publication. Article 4 of the Federal Civil Code stipulates that if the Law, Regulations, Circular, and other legal dispositions state a specific date of binding, that date shall be after the official publication.

This Law was published in the Official Gazette on July 1, 1992 (DOF 1/07/1992), indicating the date of entry into force, fifteen days after to its publication.
