Year of Version 2001 Dates Entry into force: October 15, 1999 Adopted: September 23, 1999 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes Article 33(1)(b) of this Decree-law specifies the determination of administrative offences according to the criteria of Criminal Code. Article 35(4) provides for the calculation of penalty period in accordance with Articles 111-113, 117-118 of the Criminal Code. Article 42(4) refers to the extension of the notice period of the administrative decision concerning the penalty served on parties residing or located outside the territory of Macao in accordance with Article 72 of the Code of Administrative Procedure.

Article 49(1) states that Decree-Law No. 17/98/M of May 4, 1995, regulating Protection of Producers of Computer Programs, Phonograms and Video Products shall be repealed.

This Decree-Law has been amended by Article 18 of Law No. 11/2001 of August 6, 2001, on the Establishment of the Customs Services of the Macao SAR, P.R.C, which came into force on November 1, 2001.
Article 18 of Law No. 11/2001 states all the terms 'DSE' and 'Director of the DSE' of the said Decree-Law shall be replaced by 'Customs Service' and 'Director-General of Customs Service'; and the phrase 'through the Department of Inspection of Economic Activities' shall be deleted in its Article 25(1).
