Part One was adopted on December 21, 1995, and Part Two was adopted on August 29, 1996. All these 2 parts entered into force on March 1, 1997.

This consolidated text of Part Two of the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan incorporates all the amendments up to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 429 of April 18, 2017, which entered into force on April 19, 2017.

Article 5 of the said Law No. 429 rewords the first paragraph of Article 1104 (relating to the consequences of non-use of trademarks), and adds a new Article 1107^1 (relating to the exhaustion of trademark rights) of under Chapter 65 of this consolidated text.
