Year of Version 2016 Dates Adopted: September 1, 1992 Type of Text Constitution/Basic Law Subject Matter Other Notes This consolidated version of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic incorporates all the amendments up to Constitutional Act No. 427/2015 Coll., which was adopted on December 8, 2015, and entered into force from January 1, 2016 (for the amendments introduced by the said Act, see the second sentence of paragraph 3 of Article 17 under Title Two, Section Two of the consolidated version, relating to fundamental human rights and freedoms).

Article 43 of Section Five of Title Two of the consolidated Constitution guarantees the rights to freedom of scientific research and freedom of artistic expression, the intellectual property rights and the right to access to cultural heritage.
