The Law on Industrial Property was first published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on June 27, 1991.
This consolidated text of the Law, published in the Official Gazette of June 1, 2016 incorporates all the amendments up to the 'Decree amending and adding various provisions of the Law on Industrial Property', which was also published in the Official Gazette on the same date.
For the amendments introduced by the said Decree, which came into force on August 20, 2016, see the following provisions of the consolidated version:
-Title I, Single Chapter, Article 6o, section X, second paragraph; Article 7 Bis, section I; and Article 8o;
-Title IV, Chapter V, Articles 119, 120, 123 and 125;
-Title VI, Chapter I, Article 181.
