'By Law No. 101 of 26.05.2016 amending Certain Other Laws were made modifications of legal texts in the intellectual property field in order to comply the regulatory framework which is in force with the provisions of Law No. 114 of 03.07.2014 on the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova.
By Law No. 162 of 30.07.2015 amending and Supplementing Certain Other Laws were adopted modifications and consolidations of certain legal texts in the intellectual property field, namely the amendments to the Law on the protection of plant varieties targets, in particular, the limitation of the right to a patent for plant variety, the use of the variety's name and its modification.'

This consolidated version of the Law on the Protection of Plant Varieties incorporates all the amendments up to Law No. 101 of May 26, 2016, which came into force on June 24, 2016.
For the amendments introduced by the said Law No. 101, see the following provisions of the consolidated version:
- Chapter I, Article 5, paragraph 3(b);
- Chapter II, Section 2, Article 12, paragraph 6.
