Year of Version 2016 Dates Entry into force: March 2, 2012 Adopted: January 18, 2012 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes The notification by Kazakhstan to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Law on TV and Radio Broadcasting provides protection of copyright and related rights in legal relations connected with tele[vision] and radio broadcasting (see Chapter 4, Article 34, item 4; and Chapter 5, Article 38).'

This consolidated version of the Law incorporates amendments up to Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 419-V of November 24, 2015 , which came into force on January 1, 2016.
For the amendments introduced by the said Law No. 419-V, see the following provisions of the consolidated version:
- Chapter 1, Article 1;
- Chapter 2, Articles 5 to 9; 11 to 13;
- Chapter 3, Article 19;
- Chapter 4, Articles 24, 27, 34; and
- Chapter 6, Article 42.
