Law No. 93-949 of July 26, 1993 establishes in its Annex the Legislative Partthe Consumer Code .
The notification by France to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Consumer Code provides for the codification of a number of laws, including those concerning appellations of origin under the Law of August 1, 1905, on Fraud and Misrepresentation in respect of Products or Services and the Law of May 6, 1919, on the Protection of Appellations of Origin.'
