Year of Version 2009 Dates Entry into force: December 1, 2009 Adopted: October 19, 2009 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes These Regulations, issued persuant to section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, makes amendments to the Artist`s Resale Right Regulations 2006.
These Regulations are structured into 2 regulations. In particular, regulation 2 make amendments to regulation 17 of the Artist`s Resale Right Regulations 2006 in order to give effect to the option in article 8(2) of the Directive 2001/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 September
2001 on the resale right for the benefit of the author of an original work, which permits member States to have up to two more years before they are required to apply the resale right for the benefit of those entitled under the artist after his or her death.
