Year of Version 1999 Dates Entry into force: November 7, 1999 Adopted: October 7, 1999 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes The Administrative Procedure Code contains four parts including provisions on principles (Part I), subjects (Part II), and procedures (Part III) of administrative activities, administrative oppositions and appeals (Chapter 3 of Part IV), administrative contracts (Chapter 4 of Part IV) and the other administrative issues.

Article 21 of Decree-Law No. 17/98/M of May 4, 1995, approving Measures to Prevent Breaches of Producers’ Rights of Phonograms, Video Recordings and Computer Programs, states that the Administrative Procedure Code shall be subsidiarily applicable to the criminal offenses provided for in this law.
Chapter IV of Part V of Decree-Law No. 43/99/M of August 16, 1999, on the Regime of Copyright and Related Rights, provides for the administrative infringements.
Article 309(4) of the Industrial Property Code 1999, and Article 42(4) of Decree-Law No. 51/99/M, regulating the Commercial and Industrial Activities related to Computer Programs, Phonograms and Video Products, refer to the extension of the notice period of the administrative decision concerning the penalty served on parties residing or located outside the territory of Macao in accordance with Article 72 of the Code of Administrative Procedure.

Article 7(j) of Decree-Law No. 110/99/M of December 13, 1999, approving the Code of Administrative Litigation Process states that Article 174(2) of the Administrative Procedure Code shall be repealed. This Article 174(2) was repealed when the Code of Administrative Litigation Process came into force on the date of commencement of operation of the Court of Final Appeal.

Article 4 of Decree-Law 57/99/M, approving this Code states that it shall enter into force 30 days following its publication, which is November 11, 1999.
