Notes:The National Directorate of Technology, Quality and Industrial Property had been the national body responsible for industrial property before the creation of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) under Law No. 24.481 of March 30, 1995 on Patents and Utility Models (see Title VII of the Law).

This Decision makes provision for the destruction of documents relating to patent applications, which have been withdrawn, abandoned or refused 5 years after the file was closed.
