Notes:	New Law published in the Official Journal of the Federation on December 27, 1993 - Last reform published DOF 09/04/2012 The purpose of this law is to determine the rules to channel foreign investment into the country and encourage it to contribute to national development. Articles 5 to 9 of the Law sets out certain activities reserved to the State and activities in which foreigners may participate under certain conditions. Several of these activities are related in one way or another with IP.
