The Notice was made by the Federal Ministry of Justice pursuant to Sections 8(2)(7) and 8(2)(8) of the Law on the Protection of Trade Marks and other Signs, concerning the prohibition against the registration and use as trademarks of state emblems, official hallmarks and emblems of intergovernmental organizations.
The Notice provides that the trade marks which contain the conformity marks of the Republic of Guinea and the emblem of the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) shall be excluded from registration.
