Gap Analyses

The WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC) commissioned two gap analyses on the protection of traditional cultural expressions/expressions of folklore (TCEs/EoF) and on the protection of traditional knowledge (TK). These were prepared as consultation drafts, and, following an intersessional review process, published and  distributed as working documents WIPO/GRTKF/IC/13/4(b) Rev. and WIPO/GRTKF/IC/13/5(b) Rev. for the thirteenth session of the IGC, which met in October 2008.

Comments

During the intersessional review process established by the IGC, a number of written comments were received on the two gap analyses and were taken into account in the preparation of the revised analyses. These comments are available here (in PDF format), in the form received by the Secretariat:
