Protection of Traditional Knowledge
Gap Analyses
The WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (the IGC) commissioned two gap analyses on the protection of traditional cultural expressions/expressions of folklore (TCEs/EoF) and on the protection of traditional knowledge (TK). These were prepared as consultation drafts, and then published in revised form for consideration by the Committee following an intersessional review process. These two gap analyses were distributed as working documents for the thirteenth session of the IGC, which met in October 2008:
- The gap analysis on the protection of traditional cultural expressions/expressions of folklore is available as document WIPO/GRTKF/IC/13/4(b) Rev.
- The gap analysis on the protection of traditional knowledge is available as document WIPO/GRTKF/IC/13/5(b) Rev.
While replaced by these documents, the earlier consultation drafts of the gap analyses are also still available here:

Comments
