Electronic filing and processing of international applications
Directorate of Foreign Trade & Industrial Property, National Patent Office (Bahrain) to begin receiving and processing international applications in electronic form
The Directorate of Foreign Trade & Industrial Property, National Patent Office (Bahrain), in its capacity as receiving Office, has notified the IB under PCT Rules 89bis.1(d) and 89bis.2 that, with effect from 1 October 2026, it is prepared to receive and process international applications in electronic form. The Office will accept international applications filed in electronic form using ePCT-Filing. The applicable electronic filing fee reductions listed in item 4 of the Schedule of Fees are indicated in Fee Table I(a).
