WIPO Pay: Paying special fees for PCT

Transcrição

Hey there! Welcome to our tutorial.

In this video you will learn how to pay your special fees for PCT.

What is a special fee?
Special fees are fees payable to the International Bureau (that is WIPO) under special circumstances for the PCT, such as publications of late correction or addition of a priority claim, publications of a refused request for rectification, and early publications.

First submit your request to WIPO using ePCT.

For "publication of late correction or addition of a priority claim (PCT Rule 26bis.2(e))" and for "publication of a refused request for rectification (PCT Rule 91.3(d))", use the ePCT upload function and select "IB" as recipient and the document type "General correspondence".

As a title of the document you upload, please indicate if it concerns a publication of late correction or addition of a priority claim (PCT Rule 26bis.2(e)) or a publication of a refused request for rectification (PCT Rule 91.3(d)).

Refer to our ePCT Video Tutorials for Applicants on how to use the upload document service with or without access rights to the PCT application concerned.

For Early publication (PCT Rule 48.4(a)), if you have access rights to the application, go to the actions section and select from the drop-down list "Request for Early Publication".

If you don't have access rights to the application, use the upload function and select the document type "Request for Early Publication".

If you know the amount to be paid, you can pay at the time of submitting your request or wait for the notification from WIPO for the amount due.

Payments can only be made in Swiss Francs.

For publication of late correction or addition of a priority claim (PCT Rule 26bis.2(e)) and for publication of a refused request for rectification (PCT Rule 91.3(d)), a fee of 50 CHF plus 12 CHF for each sheet in excess of one should be paid.

For early publication, a fee of 200 CHF is required in case the International Search Report (ISR) has not yet been received at the IB.

If the report has been received, then no fee is due.

You can pay by a direct debit from your Current Account at WIPO or by a bank transfer.

If you are a Current Account at WIPO holder and wish to pay with it, specify its number in your request. This authorizes WIPO to withdraw from your Current Account.

If you have already submitted your request, you can notify your examiner through ePCT about your intention to pay with a Current Account at WIPO.

If you prefer to pay with a bank transfer, you can find WIPO's bank account details on the PCT System payment webpage.

Upon making the payment, please indicate the PCT application number and the purpose of payment, for facilitating the payment process.

Once your request with the payment is received and processed by the International Bureau, you will receive Form PCT/IB345 with the acknowledgement of your request and confirmation of the publication date of your request.

If no payment has been received, the examiner in charge will issue Form PCT/IB345 with the payment instructions.
You will receive a payment receipt after the payment has been processed at WIPO.
