Member states of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), at their annual Assemblies meeting from September 23 to October 1, 2002, approved on Thursday the construction of a new administrative building to extend the Organization's premises, as well as a conference hall adjacent to its present Geneva headquarters.

Salvo el nombramiento a un cargo de DGA, los demás cargos fueron atribuidos a personas que ya trabajan en la Organización para, de esta forma, permitir que haya continuidad en la estructura de gestión.

Kamil Idris, concernant une nouvelle équipe pour la haute direction (http://www.wipo.int/edocs/mdocs/govbody/en/wo_cc_54/wo_cc_54_2-main1.doc), composée de quatre vice-directeurs généraux et de trois sous-directeurs généraux. À l'exception d'un poste de vice-directeur général, ces postes ont été attribués à des fonctionnaires de l'Organisation afin d'assurer une certaine continuité dans la structure de gestion.
