WIPO joins IP professionals from around the world at the 2026 AIPPI World Congress, taking place from October 7 to 10 in Hamburg, Germany.
Throughout the Congress, attendees can visit the WIPO booth to learn more about the PCT, Madrid, and Hague Systems, and discuss practical questions about protecting and managing IP internationally.

Bring your questions to WIPO
The WIPO booth provides an opportunity to go beyond general information and speak directly with experts about WIPO's global intellectual property (IP) services and the resources most relevant to your needs.
For patent practitioners and PCT users, this is an opportunity to ask questions about the international patent filing process and ePCT, PCT procedures and services, and the tools and resources available to support applicants and practitioners. Plus, attendees can put their own PCT knowledge to the test with an interactive Q&A experience and talk through their answers with in-house experts.
Booth visitors can also explore WIPO's international systems for trademarks (Madrid System) and designs (Hague System) and get information about WIPO's mediation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution services.
Join the PCT conversation at the AIPPI Café
Congress participants also have an opportunity to delve deeper into PCT and related issues during an AIPPI Café.
AIPPI Cafés are informal, small-group roundtable discussions that give participants an opportunity to exchange experiences and perspectives on specific IP topics. Led by AIPPI committees, they are designed to encourage open discussion and interaction among participants.

A global forum for IP professionals
AIPPI (the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), is a non-profit association dedicated to the development and improvement of laws for the protection of IP. The association has over 8000 members worldwide from over 110 countries.
The AIPPI World Congress brings together IP professionals from around the world for substantive legal discussions, professional development and networking. The Congress is AIPPI’s main annual gathering, attracting around 2,000 participants each year.
This year's substantive work covers issues across the IP spectrum, including:

- parody as a defence to trademark infringement
