Non-working Days in 2025

Make note in your calendars! In addition to all Saturdays and Sundays, WIPO will be closed for business on the following official holidays in 2025:

• Wednesday, January 1 (New year)
• Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 (Easter)  
• Thursday, May 29 (Ascension)    
• Monday, June 9 (Whitsun)
• Friday, August 1 (Swiss National Day)
• Thursday, December 25 (Christmas)
• Wednesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve)

Important notes

• Customer Service: Will be closed on these days, but messages submitted via Contact Hague will be addressed on the next working day.
• Bulletin: Will be published every Friday, even if a Friday is a WIPO holiday.
• Time limits: Will be extended to the next working day if a time limit for submitting communication to WIPO (e.g. renewals) expires on a WIPO holiday.

Reminder for 2024 official holidays

WIPO will also be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
