The 17th edition of the annual Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC) on Intellectual Property (IP) Asset Management for Business Success is now open for registration until April 19, 2026. The in-person workshop phase of the course will take place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from November 9 to 12, 2026.
The AICC is offered free-of-charge to selected applicants. Students and professionals, across private and public sectors, interested in deepening their understanding and practical knowledge of IP asset management are encouraged to apply.

The course is jointly organized by the WIPO Academy, the Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP) of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), with support from Funds-in-Trust of the Republic of Korea for IP and Education.
What is the AICC?
The AICC consists of three phases:
- Phase 1: IP Panorama 2.0 – An online course for foundational learning on IP management (March to May 2026)
Participants who successfully complete and pass this course will receive a certificate and progress to the next phase. - Phase 2: Special Session of the WIPO Advanced eLearning Course on IP Management (DL-450) and IP essay (May to July 2026)
Participants must complete the DL-450 final exam, and an IP essay outlining their professional or entrepreneurial aspirations, and motivation to take part in the in-person workshop. - Phase 3: In-person Workshop in Seoul, Republic of Korea (from November 9 to 12, 2026)
The workshop comprises in-depth lectures and activities led by renowned IP experts on advanced IP management topics from a practical business perspective. Limited spots are available, and only select Phase 2 participants will be invited to the in-person workshop.
