Applications Open for New WIPO Joint Master's Degree in IP Management in Hungary

Registrations for WIPO Academy’s new Joint Master's Program in Intellectual Property (IP) Management, offered in partnership with Corvinus University of Budapest and organized in cooperation with the Government of Hungary through the Hungarian IP Office are now open. Eligible candidates can apply until May 31, 2026, via the WIPO registration portal.

Program background 

The program was officially launched on November 5, 2025 following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between WIPO, Corvinus University of Budapest, and the Hungarian IP Office. 

The partnership combines WIPO’s global experience in IP education, Corvinus University’s academic expertise, and the Hungarian IP Office’s role in IP administration.
It strengthens advanced IP skills and supports professionals who manage patents, trademarks, and other IP rights in national and international contexts. It also responds to growing demand for qualified IP managers in innovation-driven economies.

What Participants will learn?  

The WIPO–Corvinus Joint Master's Program in IP Management is designed for graduates from diverse academic backgrounds seeking to deepen their understanding of IP management and its strategic role in fostering innovation and economic development.
The program integrates law, economics, and business to support the protection, valuation, and commercialization of innovation, linking IP with entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and sustainable growth. Through interdisciplinary learning and case studies, students develop strong analytical and decision-making skills and benefit from direct engagement with leading IP experts.

Who Should Apply?

The program is open to graduates from all academic disciplines who hold a bachelor's degree. It welcomes applicants from diverse professional backgrounds, including IP professionals seeking advanced qualifications, lawyers and legal practitioners, business managers and entrepreneurs, government officials working in innovation policy, technology transfer officers and researchers, as well as recent graduates pursuing careers in IP management. A limited number of scholarships are available through WIPO and HIPO.
